Obscure Movies

OK, so after reading a post yesterday by Strutter71, I went home and was looking over my movies. I came across three movies that some people may remember.

  1. The Black Hole - A very bad science fiction move with Ernest Borgnine and robots. "If there's any justice at all, the black hole will be your grave!"
  2. Midnight Madness - An 80's movie about a scavenger hunt. Also Michael J. Fox's first movie. "FEGA-BEEFE!"
  3. Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas - A Christmas Movie with Muppets that features music by the Riverbottom Nightmare Band. LOL..those guys were great. "Look at the birds, up in the trees."

Do you have any random movies in your collection or remember watching something that you enjoyed as a kid that may have been forgotten?

"We're not birds, WE'RE A JUG BAND!!!"

I was a big River Phoenix fan...so

"Stand by Me" - Copper sick BALLS!

"Mosquito Coast" - We eat when we're not hungry, drink when we're not thirsty. We buy what we don't need and throw away everything that's useful.

and last but not least.....
"Drop Dead Fred" - Is it? It is. The Mega-Bitch!

wow I haven't thought about those movies in a while.....lets go and watch them all!!!

I have about 150 movies that I liked as a kid. I tracked them down when I got older and had money. I have never been able to watch all of the Black Hole because I always fall asleep before the end.

Thanks for the plug, Mike! I added your blog as a link in lieu of payment.
"Midnight Madness" was a favorite of mine, but I haven't seen it in years. Any movie wih Eddie Deezen is OK in my book.
I saw "The Black Hole" in theatres as a kid and remember hating it...I caught the end of it maybe two years ago on cable somewhere and it didn't look any better.

As far as random movies from my collection, well...I probably shouldn't admit this, but I own The Village People's movie, "Can't Stop The Music." Truly awful, but I just can't take my eyes off of it.

And, of course, "KISS Meets The Phantom of the Park." A must-view if you've never seen it. Pure cheese. You haven't lived until you've seen KISS use their super-powers to fight their evil robot dopplegangers.

When I was a kid, the Maximilian robot always scared the shit out of me, but when I watched the movie as an adult, I couldn't understand how I ever even watched it.

Was that the KISS movie that had the evil KISS clones? I think I've seen that one. Some friends of mine are into zombies and love movies like Army of Darkness and Dead/Alive. After I watched Dead/Alive all I could say was, "Well I'll never get that 2 hours back."
