Charred flesh?.............DONE!

Friday we had a big party at my house...........and of course it rained! We set up a canopy thing on my deck so I could BBQ and not get soaked! CHARRED FLESH WAS GOOD! Had lots of burgers, steak and hotdogs. My recycle bin was FILLED with beer bottles. I knew I should have gotten a keg! One of they guys that came brought my wife a Scooby-Doo pinata so after it stopped raining, we strung it up from a tree to our deck over the patio. We then proceeded to blindfold my wife, spun her around and let her take some hacks at it with an aluminum bat. She connected on the first two, but didn't break it open. The third, she swung so hard that she missed it, let go of the bat and at came flying at me! So after we all stopped laughing, I picked up the bat and did my best Gary Sheffield impression and proceeded to destroy Scooby. The Scooby Snacks (Tootsie Rolls mostly) that were inside went flying all over the yard and he hung there in two pieces.

It was about 3:30am before the last people left (those who could drive anyway) and the rest of us went to bed. Of course my six month old daughter had been sleeping since 8:30pm, so her waking up at 7am should have been expected.............but my wife and I were beat! Either way, it was a great time. As soon as we upload the pictures off the camera, I'll add them to the blog.

Saturday was a day of cleaning and then resting although I did use the grill again. Sunday was Easter, so we went to my in-laws for dinner. As always, the food was great. Got home just in time to get my daughter to bed and watch The Sopranos. It was hysterical watching all of them hearing about Vito and his security guard friend! Pauly's reaction was funny as hell! Then we watched Big Love...........not sure how we got hooked on that one, but it's not bad. I like Bill Paxton. I'm waiting for his oldest son on the show to hook up with the youngest wife! There's definitely something going on there!
