I do my best to watch this movie every year over the Thanksgiving weekend and I avoid the TV airing of it since they cut out all the good parts. Basically this movie is the third in the National Lampoon's series featuring The Griswold's and their third different pair of actors as their kids, Rusty & Audrey. I think this movie is one the best one of the three with the original Vacation following a close second. There are parts of this movie that I love to quote, or just plain enjoy:
- Grace? She passed away thirty years ago.
- Shitter's Full!
- Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, kiss my ass. Kiss his ass. Kiss your ass. Happy Hanukkah.
- Look at the time. I gotta get to bed. I still gotta brush my teeth, feed the hog, still got some homework to do, still got those bills to pay, wash the car.............
- Tis the season to be merry. Well that's my name. No shit!
....but my favorite scene is when the dog is hacking on a bone under the table at dinner!! I don't know why, but about 30 seconds before that scene comes on, I start laughing. My wife looks at me like I'm crazy, but when the dog pukes, I lose control! Please tell me I'm not the only one that finds that funny!
Anyway, I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

I like this movie, but probably have not seen it in at least seven years.
LOVE the part when he kicks the plastic christmas display on his front lawn! PRICELESS!
ELF has become another annual must-see for us too. When Will Ferrell gets hit by the taxi...it's just too much for me.
Happy Thanksgiving Mike (and family)!!!
omg i love that movie.
I'm likewise faithful to it each year, but usually right in December. This is a freakin' gem, unlike Vegas Vacation. ugh.
I like the end with Bev's hand on Chevy's cock after the police crash in, then she shakes hands with the boss' wife, then puts it back on his crank. I feel fairly comfortable that Bev and Chevy are more than friends, at least at one point. Remember the Chevy Chase show? Bev was obviously looped and she kept calling him Sparky there on the show, trying to coax him to do another Vacation movie...unfortunately it was Vegas.
Then how about "Shitter's full!!!"
I could blow your blog up to pieces talking about this film. I love it to death.
Happy TG
okay, so I missed you having "Shitter's Full!" already, but how about...
"Wow, a whole quarter!"
"Bingo."
"I've got hemmorhoids."
"They'll find the jolliest bunch of assholes since (whomever) tap-danced with Danny-fucking-Kaye!"
"I can't even afford to be an elf."
"You can't even see the line, can you, Russ?"
"If you're not man enough to put an end to this shit, then I am!"
"I was just blousing...browsing..."
Yeah, I love this damn movie...
This is the only xmas movie that I own. I wonder what that says about me?
At Thanksgiving dinner my mom said, "Who is going to say grace?" My brother replied, "Grace? She passed away thirty years ago!"
My favorite line is when Clark is buying gifts for Eddies kids and Eddie says, "And Clark, make sure you get yourself something real nice."
with that click click noise he makes thereafter...great stuff!
Mark - OK, you can stil read my blog.
Cathy - Thanks Cathy. To you Sierra and Chris too.
Becky - I had a feeling you would.
Ray - She does the hand on the cock in the amusement park in the first one too.
Fred - My wife has an Aunt Grace that we saw over the weekend and everytime someone said her name, I did the same thing.
Fred & Ray - I love the fact that Clark puts light bulbs on the cart and then Eddie puts a 50lb bag of dog food on it.
The rv dump of the shitter reminds me of so many people that it is scary.
I have the theme song of that movie on my MP3 player!
Ok, I'm a little late, but this just showed up in my bloglines...sorry. My favorite is the Grace line. Cracks me up every time. I kind of liked that they kept changing the kids. Made it even weirder.
A classic for sure!!!ia
That's right, she does! Damn, you know Chevy "porked" her, as Rusty in European Vacation would've said. Full-on tits in the first one, groping throughout...who wouldn't have wanted to have a go with Beverly?
And here's another one from Xmas...
Get me somebody...anybody...and get me someone on hold...
Definitely a classic. I'm not quite sure if it's my favorite though. I think I would have to give that to a Christmas Story. My girlfriend and I argue which one is the best all the time, lol.
A good movie, that's for sure. And yes, puking dogs are funny. Unless it's your own ...

Randy Quaid is my favorite character in those movies.
Is this the movie where a deer ornament goes flying with some fireworks? Because me and my brother watched a very funny movie that happened that but we couldn't remember the name. Buy Viagra Viagra
