Ahhh........and extra hour

I remember when switching from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time meant an extra hour of partying. It meant that that bars closed at the equivilant of 5am, instead of 4am. Or even on the off chance that I went home early, that I could sleep an extra hour before having to go to work at Shop-Rite the next morning. Either way, it was good.

Well here I am..............almost 34 years old and I tried to stay up an extra hour with my wife to finish watching Sleepy Hollow. Well, it was 11:15pm or so and we could barely keep our eyes open. We made it to the end of the movie and went to bed. Well, all I have to say is that staying up later was a dumb idea. You see, our one year old doesn't know (or care) that the clocks changed.

*jump ahead to 5:20am*

Allie - Mama? MAMA!?! DaDA!! DA-DA!! DADADADADADADA!!
Jenn - *looks at clock* What is she doing up so early?
Mike - *sigh* She thinks it's 6:30am.

Needless to say, I am not as young as I used to be.

I loved the extra hour this morning... I felt so rested and my kids got out the door time to spare... when Allie is a little older, you'll all feel the joy!

I was completely exhausted on Saturday after the Cards win on Friday, yet somehow, I managed to still be awake when the changeover occured. Then yesterday, I was up at 8:30, thanks to my cat. Made for a long day...

Too funny. Nata woke up early too. Dam time change, I hate it. However at 2 she now understands that being pulled into bed by me and being told to go back to sleep it's too early, means shut up and sleep or mommy will sell your tiny butt on Ebay.

Keep her up later tonight and she'll hopefully sleep in a tiny bit more for you.

I still like this time change, but that one in the Spring is a pain.

Yep, I once had an extra hour to party now it is just an extra hour of sleep. Somehow that just sucks.

Sleepy Hollow was a good movie. Have you seen Shaun of the Dead? That's the only horror movie I managed to watch this season. It's hilarious.
