Cornell Going Solo

Well, after all of the talk about Rage Against the Machine reuniting for a few shows, it seems to be official that Audioslave is no more. Chris Cornell announced that he will no longer be fronting Audioslave. It appears he will be releasing a solo album in the Spring of this year, and pushes off rumors of a Soundgarden reunion.

I was always enjoyed Chris' voice and feel that he is one of the most talented and unique rock singers in the last 25 years. (Ironically enough, as I write this post, Temple of the Dog's "Times of Trouble" just randomly played on my media player). It doesn't matter who is backing him, he sounds awesome and I will continue to be a fan.

Agreed!! Love Chris Cornell's voice.....let alone his eyes!
*swoon*

Look forward to hearing a solo album from him. We'll HAVE to buy that.

I never really liked Cornell much so I'm happy to see him abandoning Audioslave so the rest of the ex Rage members can have their time with lead singer of Rage Zach De La Rocha. I'm praying for Rage to tour America...

Very happy that Audioslave is dead. Talented bunch, not a whole of fun involved. Hope Cornell does something worthwhile now. I once got accidentally choked by his guitar cord during the Soundgarden Louder Than Love tour, which included Faith No More opening and Voivod headlining. Second greatest show I ever saw.

Chris Cornell rocks. Rage Against the Machine rocks. Together they stunk up the place. Nice to see Cornell going his on way and Rage getting back together.

I was just listening to Temple of the Dog yesterday and Time of Trouble has been stuck in my head. What a great album! I was a huge Soundgarden fan.
